Manali
is the launching point of this easygoing
trek. One goes through lush green forests
of Pine, Fir, Oak and Cedar. Crosses meadows
laden with wild flowers often crossing brilliant
streams. This trek also provides the opportunity
to catch glimpses of magnificent old Himalayan
villages, its people and their way of life.
This trek goes all the way to the very base
of the Deo Tibba Peak (6001 Mts.), one of
the most beautiful mountain in Kullu. This
legendary mountain is considered as the
abode of all deities of Kullu and hence
worshiped. An interesting legend associated
with this trail is that after death all
the parting souls would make their way through
this trail first to Mount Inderkilla and
then to Haven or hell as per their Karma
or deeds. |
