Manali - Beas Kund Trek
A Scenic Trail

One of the most delightful treks in Western Himalaya, providing a very easy access into the mountainous surroundings. Affording views of lush green valleys dotted by apple orchards, the traditional villages, Himalayan Alpine forest, meadows carpeted by variety of Alpine flowers, and the mountainous areas surrounded by glaciers , moraines towering snow clad mountains.

Patalsu Peak (4472 Mts.): Though it all depends upon the snow accumulation on ground but still an easy (non technical) route to the summit of Patalsu peak, provide a great opportunity for enthusiasts and mountain lovers. Even if one does not make it all the way to the top, once you cross the tree line the Upper ridge provide a Superb bird eye view of the whole Valley.

Beas Kund : A true alpine region situated under a mighty ridge which is a geographical as well cultural divide bet the lower Himalayas and the middle Himalayas. This majestic ridge is the meeting point of the mighty Dhauladhar and Pir-Panjal Ranges and is blessed with a series of jagged parallel mountain chains and summits, such as the beautiful Hanuman Tibba massif at 5928 Mtrs. At the base of this ridge lies the lovely jewel like Beas Kund, a glacial lake which is the source of the Beas River. A trek up to this lake brings one face to face with breathtaking alpine vistas of unmatched beauty and grandeur.

 
Season : 2nd Week of April - June, September and October
Region : Alpine area around Manali.
Altitude: Min: Manali 2100 Mts. Max: Patalsu (4472 Mts.)
Trek Duration: Depending upon time availability from 02 nights 03 days to 04 night and 05 days.
Trek Grade: Easy - Moderate
Terrain: Village trails, Forests, meadows and bit of Alpine - moraine
